How long do I need to wait before I begin to see results?
It varies from patient to patient. Typically, psoriasis and eczema patients will see much faster results (few sessions) than vitiligo patients (few weeks). The most important thing is to be consistent with your treatments.
How frequent are the treatment sessions?
Usually about 3 sessions per week, but each session just takes a few minutes
How do I adjust my dose?
According to the color of the skin after the session: Not pink at all: Continue to increase as directed by 15 seconds until you can’t increase it any more without getting pink Light pink: Hold treatment time the same as the last treatment Medium pink: Reduce time by 15 seconds Dark pink or red: Skip one treatment and reduce next time by 30 seconds
What are the treatment session precautions?
Wear the protective goggle (Included in the kit)
Use the slide-on attachment to keep a fixed distance from the skin
Cover areas that shouldn’t be treated with clothes or a white towel (Sunscreen can be used for some areas)
Moisturizers may be applied after the session to prevent dryness
I feel like the treatment is not working as well as it used to. Do I need to replace the lamps?
It is normal for the power of phototherapy lamps to decrease with use. If your treatments are no longer working as well, you may need to replace the lamps. Spare lamps are available on Imdadi market.
